Simon Says Stamp Stylised Christmas Tree Card

Hiya, today I have another Simon Says Stamp Christmas Card for you. It is definitely not my usual style but for some reason I just loved the die and stamp set that made this card. I hope you will like it too.

This is a card that I actually made last year but I just ran out of spaces for any more Christmas posts so decided to hold it back a whole year! So I decided to keep this pretty simple both in style and colours. I know this is a very unusual colour for a Christmas Card but I think the Kraft card with the gold, cream and glitter really worked.

So I took an A4 piece of card and cut it in half, then scored and folded that piece in half again to create an A6 card (very approx. 4″ x 6″ for my american friends). Then I took the other half of the Kraft card and stamped my tree, star etc onto it and then die cut them out. As you can see I only did half and a bit of a tree, but of course I did need therefore to stamp and die cut enough elements to make a full tree. Next I matted and layered a white piece of card followed by the last piece of the Kraft card from that one A4 sheet onto the card base. I then added them to my card base using 3d foam and I allowed inside half to completely overlap the edge and then once I was happy with the position and it was all stuck properly down I trimmed the edges off. Next I stamped some stars etc onto the card base directly and then as a final touch I added some colour using Stickles, Pearl Drops in gold etc.
