Hiya, today’s card is a card made from a CD rom by the wonderful Joanna Sheen using the artwork of Jane Shasky.

On the CD Joanna features the floral artwork of Jane Shasky. It has a really huge amount of artwork on this CD and comes with the toppers backing papers et cetera et cetera and on this particular card I have picked out these gorgeous lilac flowers, which I actually don’t know what they are but they are so pretty.

So I printed out the backing papers and also there was a sheet of toppers that included the sentiment as a feature so I printed that out as well. I then simply took a Hunkydory piece of lilac card stock, folded that in half with the colour on the outside for a change. I then cut my backing paper to fit the A5 card front less 1/4″ and stick that down on the front of our card. Then I simply cutout my sentiment topper, matted and layered that onto some lilac, white, then silver mirri card. Finally I added some lilac crystal stickles to my sentiment topper as a little added extra.

Next on the inside I took some more of my backing paper and popped that onto back side of the card, added a circular hunkydory lilac & foiled sentiment and that was my Joanna Sheen Lilacs CD Card finished.

So as you can see it was a very simple card to make but I think the artwork just made the card look so beautiful. I’m really really pleased with the finished look.

The key to CD crafting,in my opinion, is to make sure you print onto good quality paper. The printer that I have is just a £30 Canon printer so it’s nothing really special but the paper that I use is always the best I possibly can and that’s what makes the difference to the colours and the quality of the print.

Anyway that’s it for today so hugs and have a great craft day,
