Hiya, I have for you a pretty card made from the gorgeous Tattered Lace dies. This die came from the free die from Issue 8 of the Tattered Lace Magazine. I do love the magazine not only for the free dies – which as you can see aren’t some second rate version of a TL die but a proper full size die – but also I love the magazine cos it is chock full of great ideas, although it is always a risk to read, so be warned, cos it definitely makes you want to buy all the dies cos you suddenly realise how versatile they are. For this particular card I used the die in its simplest form but I think the finished look is so beautiful.

Tattered Panel

So for todays card my inspiration came really from wanting to make a simple yet elegant card that actually looked harder to make than it was! lol!  I immediately thought of my Tattered Lace Dies and came across this gorgeous panel die. As I mentioned above this die actually came from Issue 8 of the TL magazine but there are other panel dies in their range if you prefer a slightly different style.  As you will see from the video the card is so easy to make and the finished result is, I’m sure you will agree, so beautiful.

I started off with a winter white A4 piece of card which I scored and folded to create an A5 landscape card base. I then matted and layered blue and then white card going down in size 1/8″ each time.  Next using my big shot and magnetic plate I cut four panels from the blue card. Then using my Glossy Accents I stuck the panels to the front of the card.

Next I matted and layered some blue and white card to the inside of our card, not only to make it look nice and in-keeping with the front but also to add extra weight to the back of the card, which then balances the weight we have added to the front.

Now originally that was going to be it, leave the front with just the panels on it. But I just couldn’t resist adding just a little extra embellishment to the front. So I created a bow from my beautiful silky crush ribbon, attached it to the front of the card using my Pinflair Glue Gel. I was then able to use the Pinflair just to pop into it a Marabou Feather and some of my Pearl Stick Pins. Then as a final touch I added a Pearl Dazzler Button to the centre of the bow. I think that really finished the card off beautifully.

And that is it our finished Tattered Lace Panel Card,  I think that it really looks so elegant and pretty and I hope you do to 🙂

Anyway that is it for today, I hope you enjoyed the video and liked the finished card, and for now hugs and have a great craft day ,
