Hiya, today I have a card that I made to be a bit of an unusual Valentine or just an ‘I love you’ type of card.  I hope you agree and like the finished result.

I have quite a big library of photos of cards that you have not seen as it was only when I got this blog – nearly 2 years ago now – that I had a platform to share them on. So you may find the photos are not as good as the more current ones as I just didn’t have the equipment that I have now and often I won’t remember precisely the products used because I just did not keep those kind of records, just didn’t have a need then. But I figure that you still will enjoy looking at them and hopefully finding inspiration in their design.

So todays card I made using a digital image and backing papers that I printed off a CD.  I afraid I don’t know which one I used though. I did look through the ones I still have but I have got rid of a lot of my CDs since I got my Mac, because although I have added a separate CD drive to it, I just don’t use the physical CD as much. A lot of the companies now produce the digital material as downloadable and also I just had outgrown some of my CDs and needed the space.

Anyway to the card. I took as my base card pre-scored card in bright pink sized 6″ x 6″. As you that follow me regularly probably know a square card is probably one of my favourite shapes to work on. I then went to my computer and worked on the digi images of the panther. I used the software, which makes me think this might be a My Craft Studio or Do-crafts image as these are the only two craft software programmes I have. Although of course I could have taken the image across to the software programme I guess but somehow I don’t think I did. Anyway in the programme I added a digi page curl and background pink heart paper behind it to my panther image. I then printed this and one smaller panther onto a glossy photo quality print paper.  I then sprayed the whole sheet with a Crafters Companion sparkle spray to add a little shimmer.

Next in the prep I went to my Cricut, which at this time would have been my pink Expression and Gypsy and cut out the ‘wild about you’ sentiment.  Now to putting the card together.

First I added the main panther image with page curl flat to the left side of the card. I then matted the smaller panther offset onto some silver mirri card, and then added this to the card popped up on foam tape.  Then I added the sentiment with some extra glitter added to it using a glue pen and loose iridescent glitter. Then I added these amazing stickers that you peel off and stick down onto the card, then you peel off the top layer and it reveals a sticky surface which you can then glitter or foil etc. Basically it is like a double sided adhesive sheet but pre-cut into designs. Funnily enough in that charity shop haul I got just recently mum found a load of those – she just thought they were white border stickers, but when I saw then I was super excited. Anyway to those I added some silver fine glitter. And finally I added some Anna Griffin 3D heart stickers at various points of the card. Finally I added an Anna ‘You & Me’ sticker to the inside and Voila! the card is finished, something just a little different for Valentine or even a regular occasion for your better half 🙂

So I hope you liked the card and taking a look at some of these older cards I have made. I know the photos are not quite was good but I still figured it would be fun to take a look since I found all these photos I had not shared with you – as best as I remember – before. So for now hugs and have a great craft day,
