Hiya, todays card is a simple yet effective card made using the gorgeous Hunkydory Card and toppers. As you know I am a big fan of Hunkydory and I really adore their card stock but also their topper sheets and collections.

This card was made from a Christmas Collection I had – “A Contemporary Christmas”, I picked out some toppers called ‘Christmas Kisses’ and a piece of patterned card that I felt went really well with it and then got going making my card.

So I started with a Hunkydory non coated card base from a new set of card bases of theirs I have just purchased. I love using their pre-made card bases as well because they are really weighty so makes the card feel a really nice quality. This particular card base was a new size for them – 7″ x 7″ square. I really liked it as a size cos quite literally sometimes 6″ square is just too small but 8″ square is too large. This as I said was a pre-scored card so all I had to do was fold it and use my bone folder to sharpen the fold.

Next I took my patterned sheet of card and cut it to 7″ square but so that the foiled bow sat nicely in the corner. I then glued that to the front of the card using my Cosmic Shimmer glue as Hunkydory being such a lovely heavy weight card you need a strong glue like a wet glue.

Next I took my Snow Globe topper sheet and constructed my Snow Globe just using some 1-2mm thick foam between each layer. Personally when I do this sort of Pyramage I don’t like big deep gaps between each layer. I then glued this to the front of the card using my Pinflair Gel to be sure it really would stay put due to all those layers and therefore weight. Next I added the two sentiment tags and finally some Stickles to all the snowflakes in the Snow Globe.

To finish I took a piece of patterned paper from the collection and cut it to 6 3/4″ square and stuck it to the inside of the card. In the kit where I had used it before there was some scraps of paper so I took a piece and cut a strip and added it to the bottom of the piece we just stuck to the inside with an additional sentiment too.  And that was it my Hunkydory Snow Globe Christmas Card :-

So that is it for today, as always I hope you like the finished card and as always I would love to hear from you in the comments below. But for now hugs and have a great craft day,

  1. Cute card. Hunkydory Collections always look gorgeous, I haven’t bought any YET!! but I have had a “free sample” from a craft magazine. Thank you for sharing Amanda. Have a lovely Christmas xx

    • thank you, and I have to say it is lovely card, since they changed to the adorable scrabble a few years back now it is amazing, it is coated card stock but no cracking when you fold and score. I love the toppers and kits etc, but the most I use is the regular coloured card as my card bases, you have prob seen it on a lot of videos where I have done that, I usually put the colour on the inside and then cover the whole of the front so it makes the inside look real nice. Anyway have a lovely Christmas hugs xx
