Hiya, today I have a card for you that is made using one of my favourite little characters, House Mouse bought to us by Joanna Sheen. So for this card I used a set of the House Mouse stamps.
I have to say that I made this card so so long ago there I really hardly remember what I did to make it! LOL! I just happened across the photographs and realised that I hadn’t ever shared this one with you so although I made it a long time ago, I thought because it was House Mouse that you still would want to see it, I hope I was right?
So the best I can do from memory, first I took the house mouse stamp and stamped the main image and then the little flying mouse and some leaves separately. I then coloured them using some watercolour markers, I don’t think it would have been distress markers becauseI didn’t have any back then. I think it probably would have been my Zig Markers or even some watercolour paints.
Next I cut out the stamped images using a pair of scissors, obviously I waited for the paint to dry before doing that as I wouldn’t want to smudge the colouring. I then took a pre-scored pre-diecut cardbase, again back then I wouldn’t have had dies to create that cut, fold and tuck feature. I then painted in a wash of a sky onto the cardbase, Next I folded and tucked the diecut area. Finally on the front I added my stamped elements that I had cut out just painting a little around the edges to blend it nicely into the sky background on the cardbase.
So now the front of my card is complete however the diecut area you can currently see through, So I added some double sided card to the inside of my card which not only then put some pattern paper showing through the diecut area on the front but it also made the inside look really fun. You can also see I added some ribbon and a bow as a final touch. So enough of the chatter here is my House Mouse Autumn Thanksgiving Card :-
