Hiya, today I have a fun stampin’ up card for you. I used the fab stamp set called Over The Rainbow and a whole heap of different coloured ink pads to make a couple of fun colourful rainbow cards for you.

The post was originally just going to be a photo post and I made the card but things didn’t go quite according to plan. I loved the stamping and I actually loved the finished card but it just wasn’t what I had had in my mind. I wanted to make a shaped card and I used my tattered lace dues to do this. I then though it would be a good idea to have a shaped layer on the inside to so it looked nice and there was somewhere to write. So I stuck that down on the back inside piece and then put the card together. It was at this point I realised that because of the extra layer it really didn’t work. So I pulled it apart and stuck the shaped front to a piece of card that I folded into an A5.

I was really pleased with the result but as I said before it wasn’t what I had in mind, plus I realised that I would love to share it with you as a video as well. The card turned out really different from the one above and I have to personally it was my favourite version. So here is my Stampin Up Rainbow Cards video:-

So finally before I sign off for today here is some details of the cards themselves. Firstly the inks that I used were as follows:

  • Smokey Slate
  • Marina Mist
  • Pacific Point
  • Elegant Eggplant
  • Real Red
  • Melon Mambo
  • Wild Wasabi
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Crushed Curry
  • Daffodil Delight

And then the dies used for the card in the video were:-

  • Tattered Lace Decorative Rectangles Size 1 for the card base in Tempting Turquoise
  • Tattered Lace Decorative Rectangles Large Size 12 in Pacific Point the Blue Mat
  • Tattered Lace Decorative Rectangles Large Size 11 in Whisper White for the stamped layer

So that is it and I hope you enjoyed the video and seeing how I made the cad and the differences with the one above. Now as always here are the photos of the finished card:-

So that’s it for today I hope you enjoyed the cards and I would as always love to hear what you think. But for now hugs and have a great craft day,
