Hiya, today I have a beautiful yet simple stamped card made using a stunning stamp from Stampin’ Up called Watercolour Wings.

I came across this stamp set when I received my Stampin’ Up catalogue just recently and I just thought this stamp was so stunning. So I ordered it and some inkpads as I actually own very few inks and wouldn’t had enough colours to make this work. So I started out with a Simon says Stamp 8.5″ by 11`’ piece of White card which I cut down the long side to create a 4.25″ x 11″ piece of card, which I scored at  5.5″inches to create a finished cars of 5 1/2 inches by former quarter inches. Next I got my Watercolour Wings Stamps Set and my Fiskers Stamper, I decided to use my Fiskers Stamper because it meant I could position over my previous stamped images without any difficulty.

So I started with the full layer of the larger butterfly and stamped this in the top left hand side using my Bermuda Bay inkpad, then I stamped the middle layer of our butterfly using my Tempting Turquoise inkpad and finally the detail layer using my Pacific Point inkpad. For the body of our butterfly I used my Pacific Point inkpad and for the antenna I use my Tempting Turquoise inkpad.

Then I moved onto our second butterfly. I decided to stamp this in the mid to bottom right hand side of my card. So for the first layer I used Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy inkpad, so the next layer I stamped using my Melon Mambo inked and finally I stamped using my Rich Razzleberry inkpad. For the body and antenna I used my Rich Razzleberry inkpad.

Finally sentiment stamp in the bottom left-hand corner I used the Rich Razzleberry inked, and for the dotty Banner I used the Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy inkpad. Say that’s it my Stampin Up Watercolour Wings Card : –

And as always here are some photos, including close-ups, of our finished Stampin Up Watercolour Wings Card ad don’t forget to click on the image to see it enlarged and in full 🙂

I hope you like it, but for now hugs and have a great craft day,

    • Thank you, glad you liked it, I only have a set of 10 stampin up inks that I got as a set so I just tried to use those – alhough had to sneak a SSS one in lol!

  1. Lovely card Amanda , I have seen stampin up products on youtube, superb names for inks and I like that everything matches. keenan kreations .. demonstrator from the USA is so clever, Check her out if you wish. Love your work. best wishes.

    • thanks I like their stuff, though I do think it is a shame that demonstrators can’t mix in other products so we get a little individuality in their cards. thanks for the recommendation though I will be interested to see her 🙂
