Excellent blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
Mine is based in wordpress but I did have a web designer do the skeleton as it were of what i wanted as I needed a lot more than what I was capable of doing. I then got to work and added all the pretty stuff, designing all the banners, menu ‘button’ etc myself and adding that all in. I got a good wordpress book and it helped me understand what i needed and of course google was my best friend :_) if you are just wanting to blog and not have a store etc then word press is great cos its free but also if you don’t want to get a designer involved there are thousands of templates that you are bound to find what you are after. And then at least it is a good start and then you can always trade up because the wordpress format makes that easily possible, Hope that helps a bit ? 🙂
