Hiya, today is another Cardz 4 Men post and again it is featuring Hunkydory. I have been asked for a while to show how to make some of the Hunkydory concept cards and when I saw this I knew it would be perfect for my Dads Fathers Day card.
So today is a step by step in photo form on how I made this gorgeous Collage a Card. Now hunkydory has a number of mens and womens collage a card collections or you can get them as one big collection that includes all the cards. They are very easy to put together and look really cool when made. So to todays Cardz 4 Men Hunkydory Collage a Card Work Shed Card. So for this post I have got a photo slideshow for you with the step by step in photo and written explanation underneath. So to take a look just click the arrow when you want to see the next image, or just click play and sit back and let the computer do the rest: –
1. Select the base layer sheet and the elements sheet
2. Pop out the shed
3. Fold the score lines
4. Add strong adhesive to the side fold
5. Pop out all the elements you wish to use from the sheet
6. Sort them
7. Position the bench
9. Add 3D foam on the pieces that you have decided are sitting in front of the others
10. Use Cosmic Shimmer wet glue for elements that you want to be stuck flat
11. I used 3D foam on the paint can and cosmic shimmer wet glue on the brushes
12. the elements on the other side of the bench
13. From the side you can see how the 3D foam and wet glue adds the different heights to the elements giving really good effect
14. Now for the above the bench
15 Again using 3D foam for the tools, some are double layers of foam so they sit at different heights
16. you can see how effective that looks from the front
17. Now we need to put the shed together, so peeling off the red tape
18. then laying the shed flat stick the sticky flap to the back of the shed.
19. By doing this flat you can be more accurate, and you need precision for the shed to stand up
20. The shed standing
22. Next i decided I wanted a way to keep the door held shut, so I decided to position so flowers in a pot so the flowers overhung the door and acted as a stopper. I used Cosmic Shimmer on the pot and 3D foam on the flowers
23. so you can see here how the flowers are holding the door back
24. The finished front door
25. A close up of the inside of the shed
So that is it for today, I hope you have enjoyed taking a look at this card, I gave this card to my dad for Fathers Day and he really liked it and I hope you do to. Have you ever made any of the Hunkydory concept cards and what did you think?
