Hiya, today I have another mixed media / altered art piece for you and again it is was part of my Dad’s Christmas present last year so it was a project very close to my heart.

As I explained in the last video, where I did my Mixed Media Vintage Car Clock, I decided that last Christmas (2015) was going to be a ‘handmade Christmas’ for my family as it had proved a popular choice the year before (2014). So as I said before I made my mum a number of handmade items for her gift including a Mixed Media piece which I have filmed and it will be going up in due course :-))  For my Dad I made the Clock that you have already seen, (if not click the link above and it will take you to the post so you can take a look – but don’t forget to come back and watch this one lol) and this Mixed Media Desk Tidy. I purchased a beautiful plain real wood desk tidy. it wasn’t mdf or anything like that but a really beautiful heavy wood piece. I then went ahead and altered it with various paints and papers as you will see in the video and I think it turned out really nicely. My dad was really pleased and it went really nicely with the clock.   So here it is, my Mixed Media Altered Art Wood Desk Tidy video:-

Well as always I have taken a load of photos and these are photos that I literally just retook as it includes now the addition of the handle on the drawer. As always just to remind you click on the first picture to get it to the proper size and complete image and then just keep going to see them all:-

So that is it, I love how this turned out and my Dad really loved it too. All I will say is that I got my Dad to add a little metal handle to the drawer so it was easier to pull out. So big hugs for now, and have a great craft day,
