Hiya, today I have for you the cutest card featuring the Forever Friends bear that is so famous here in the UK. This time he is giving a lovely rose to his Valentine 🙂

I really adore this Forever Friends bear (although my favourite bear is still Tatty Teddy aka Me To You bear) and was so happy a few years back when Do Crafts got the license to produce crafting items using the official images. This particular card was made using one of the Do Crafts Forever Friends CD roms which come not only with the images and papers but also a design program.

This is another one of my older cards that I found a photo of, and I am sorry there is just the one, but again I thought you would still prefer I shared it with you than keep it to myself as he is so very cute. I made him as I said by using the CD and he is designed completely using the software and is a flat card except for the bear which I cut out by hand and decoupaged on top. I designed the card by taking a couple of their digital papers and popping them onto the digital card base – the program comes with a load of pre-loaded digital cards for you to work on. I then added the digital ribbon and bow and  a shadow to give it dimension. Next I added the bear even though I knew I was going to decoupage him by putting him onto the background I achieved two things. Firstly when catching the card from the side you still saw the bear under the decoupaged bear which did look better and secondly, it helped me know where to position my decoupaged bear later. I copied and pasted that bear onto another piece of digital card. Finally I added my sentiment to the main part of the digital card.

I then printed out both pages of my digital card. Once printed I cut by hand around the single bear. The ‘card’ part of the digital design that I printed out printed onto one half of the A4 piece of card so I simply scored down the centre and folded to get my card. I then decoupaged the other bear to the front, added some stickles to my bow and boom card made. It was fun to do the designing on the computer and it proved a popular card and sold straight away. So here is my Forever Friends Valentine Card :-

So I hope you liked the card and can see that even when you do a lot of the work on the computer it is still fun and achieves a great result. But for now hugs and have a great craft day,
