Hiya, today I have card for you made using the gorgeous Redonkadoodles Life of the Party Digi Stamp. I had been wanting to make a alcohol marker card directly onto my card base for ages but had been unable to find card that the marker did not show through the back of. So each time I had to end up lining the inside of the card in some way or to mat and layering the image onto another card base. However I came across this Simon Says Stamp card stock that did not have any of the marker go throughout to the other side. I have to say although it was ok to colour on, it was not my favourite and after a short while the paper would go kinda shiny with the ink and it really didn’t blend after that. Im sure part of that is I added too much ink but I didn’t colour any different to normal and I haven’t had that before. But it definitely did do what it said it would which meant I could make this lovely CAS card with nothing but the image to do the talking. As you can see after I coloured her I added lots of shimmer using my Wink of Stella pen in clear and it really added a gorgeous shimmer to her dress but also some ‘bubbles’ to the champagne too. Below you will find a photos with all the pens I used plus of course the finished card.

  1. Hi Hunnicutt Bunny ‘cross De Big Pond. Love the card. Do see the shine in her hair. How about the Tim Holtz Watercolor cards by Ranger and layer it on the front? I’m your friend, remember? Do you pay less for Co pics or Pro Markers over there? I can’t do it, me. She’s a kick. Good luck deary. Heya, I hit the BIG ’60’ Sunday. Didn’t phase me one iota. I got a small floral bouquet from the family I stayed with last year. Very sweet they are. Amanda, don’t publish me publicly this time, ok? Thx Hunny Bunny.XOXO, LYNDA/UTAH, USA

    • You put your comment on the public part of my blog hun, if you want to keep comments private go to the message me section. Sounds like you had a nice birthday congrats, love flowers so sweet of them to send them to you 🙂 The paper was ok, not my fav, but I definitely over inked and it didn’t go through but just went shiny. I have some lovely card that I use for markers for normal use, when I am not worried if it goes through, and it works great so all good. The watercolour would not work for this as these are alcohol markers and the watercolour card would not work well with them. And I dont normally buy card that is branded like that as I have a contact now at a paper mill that I have been working with to get a really good almost multi purpose card and matching paper with. Got it sorted now so that will go in my store in due course. As for pro markers to be honest I always hunt out bargains as best I can, but the prices list are about the same to more expensive as the companies are based in US so anyone here has to be a distributor which can make it a bit more pricey. I often buy from America as I am used to importing so dont worry about it. Hugs xoxo

all I can say is she really looks like the life of the party. LOL. she looks like she is the party and I think her attitude is what did it. She really looks the part. a couple of drinks and a sexy outfit and a smile that says I’m the life of the party. Having a great figure also helps. You did it Amanda and I’m happy for you’re win. Have fun and keep on keeping on.
